Grand Haven City Beach, south of Grand Haven State Park, accepts leashed dogs between Memorial Day and Labor Day before 11 a.m. And after 5pm before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, dogs are always welcome on a leash.

One of the best parts of the Grand Haven area is the abundance of parks and natural areas that we all enjoy year-round. Many of these parks and outdoor areas have containment policies, including the North Ottawa Hills, Kitchell Lindquist Conservation Area, Hofma Conservation Area, Ottawa Sands and Duncan Woods. The Grand Haven area also has several dog parks such as East Grand River Park, Coast Guard Park, Spring Lake Central Park and Grand Ravines Park.
